Frequently Asked Questions

Learn all about the Ambassadors programme & more how you can get involved

How much is the time commitment?

We understand Ambassadors have very busy schedules & competing demands, so the time that they have for Athalos can often be limited, hence we have kept our program flexible to work around you.

The more time you can commit, the more we can create a greater impact.

Ambassadors generally commit to one day a month for our get togethers & are available for appearances at events for a few hours as and when we need them (of course these are coordinated well in advance) and during that time, are expected to post a number of relevant Social media Posts to engage with & build advocacy (don’t worry – we can provide the communications material).

We encourage our Ambassadors to work out how they are most comfortable with their allocation of time, and to find their niche at Athalos and to participate in various awareness activities such as webinars; interviews; fund-raising initiatives; major events such as launches of flagship reports and publications and field visits to supported development projects.

Most successful Ambassadors have these qualities in common:

  1. Use their Online Presence: Ambassadors who already have a loyal audience can reach a wide, diverse and hard to reach audiences and can help to create user-generated content, expanding the brand’s social media reach
  2. Apply their Leadership skills: People like to be led. If given a chance, they’ll take the word of someone they trust over researching and evaluating options themselves. The best ambassadors ooze confidence and attract those who wish to listen.

Will my profile be highlighted anywhere & How will my Ambassadorship be announced

Of course, we’re all about encouraging others to play their part in changing their world and letting the world know that you have stepped up to play your part is equally important as the role you’ll undertake.

We’ll issue a media release announcing the appointment (you can share that also)

A public event is strongly encouraged immediately following the appointment, so we will work with you to ascertain opportunities of relevance that support this and may include a slot on a panel session to showcase your work & why being a role model in a post Covid environment is now so important.

Part of that is building outreach so that others looking to do good can reach out to you directly through our platform. This delivers also on our accessibility agenda. We’ll upload your profile photo onto our Athalos.World website with a link to your Linked In profile enabling visitors to the site to reach out to you and build your own connections.

Will you need access to my social media platforms?

Yes, this is strongly encouraged so we can map out the activity plan for you to echo your role/activities/advocacy as an Ambassador and also activate your networks to become more engaged in Doing Good.

These channels provide a useful starting point for Ambassadors to engage their communities and networks about their appointment as an Ambassador for Athalos and to act as a catalyst in engaging others

Finally, Why are you doing this & what’s your Objective?

We realised that we’re not doing enough to address the world’s challenges and every one of us has an important role to play.

On our journey we met many other people who shared a similar view. So we set about building a global communication ecosystem that can bring people together to work out solution ns to everyday challenges of the fast-paced world we live in now and future demands that will be placed on us as we navigate humanitarian and environmental challenges.

We then understood that we couldn’t do it alone and it wasn’t just about creating the right products or services.

And whilst we changed the way we do business to impact focused and launched Global Donation Services to develop into the world’s largest donation and crowdfunding network within the next five years. Our goal went beyond that to build an ecosystem of services that can keep up with all the challenges and demands that the ever-changing future may bestow upon us.

Our ambitions stretch beyond just creating a successful business. We believe it to be equally important to act responsibly and contribute to a better world, so we have made a commitment to reshaping the world and supporting the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) Agenda and the launch of our Ambassador initiative brings like minded people together as Role Models and catalyst who can inspire and mobilize others as we collectively reshape the world for Good.
